Peter Timms joined the firm direct from school in 1962 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1968. Peter has been a Partner with the firm since 1971 dealing primarily with owner managed businesses.

From this client base he has obtained considerable expertise in advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and flotation as well as taxation issues. Through his advice to business people he has acquired broad experience of personal taxation, trusts and inheritance tax issues. He is a member of the firm’s Technical Committee. Peter is also an active member of the firm's Property and Professional Practices sector groups.

He is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Coopers.
