Nigel Birch trained in the London Office of Coopers & Lybrand and then went to join East African Breweries in Nairobi. He returned to professional practice in London, becoming a partner in Kingston Smith as a result of a merger in 1996.

Nigel is based at our St Albans Office but his clients are spread over the Home Counties and Europe. He has a particular emphasis on people businesses, property matters, investment and financial service businesses.

Nigel has the varied experience of being a Finance Director abroad, managing partner of his own accountancy practice and for many years he was a non executive director of a group of architects and designers quoted on the Stock Market. He is also a director of Kingston Smith Financial Advisers Limited, our Independent Financial Advice arm.

Outside work he enjoys watching rugby and National Hunt Horse racing. He also has interests in wine and military history.
